"We went to the Telford Town Centre branch to set up a new joint account. We were dealt with by a lady who made the whole experience painless, quick and simple. She helped us to transfer all of the Direct Debits that needed moving and did this in a remarkably short period of time. She was warm, chatty and didn't stop smiling throughout - a real pleasure to deal with and a credit to the branch."

"I was at the Rushden branch trying to complete my loan when the HSBC servers went down. I would like you to pass on my thanks and appreciation to the staff member who was very helpful and kind during the 2 hour outage. When I got home at 5.15pm, they called to say that the computers were back up and running and had successfully transferred my loan. This is an excellent example of customer service and I would like you to praise all the staff at the branch who had to deal with angry customers when it was no fault of theirs."
