Eligibility requirements

Please ensure you can answer YES to the following questions:

  • Are you 18 years of age or over?
  • Have you graduated from university within the last 2 years?
  • Can you provide proof of Graduation, ie a Graduation Certificate if you're new to HSBC?
  • Are you happy for us to undertake a credit register search (PDF)?
  • Can you provide us with identification and proof of your address and one month's bank statements from your current bank?

If you already hold an HSBC Student Bank Account, we’ll automatically convert you to our Graduate Account in the July of the year you graduate. We’ll also write to you before we do this to notify you.

Once you've submitted your application, we'll send you some paperwork to sign and return to us and advise which other documents may be required, such as confirmation of your identity or address.
