Earning points is easy, just use your HSBC Premier Credit Card and you'll earn two points for every £10 of eligible spending. Points will be shown on your monthly statement and are valid for three years.

Log on to Internet Banking, within the 'My Accounts' section click on 'Premier Card', then click on 'Premier Rewards' in the left hand menu.

Discounted travel

Alternatively, use your HSBC Premier Credit Card to book any flight or package holiday independently and redeem any of your existing points for money off your booking.

To redeem your points after booking with another travel provider, simply call 08457 70 70 70*. While online, HSBC Bank provides MasterCard® SecureCode free to help ensure secure online credit card payments.

Unless you tell us about any transactions you do not recognise, we will treat all transactions on the account as yours. We may contact you by telephone, letter or text message/SMS to advise that there may be suspicious activity on your account. We may also leave a message to ask that you call us.

If we leave a message, you should contact us as soon as possible. If you don't contact us we will assume that all transactions on the account are yours.

Help prevent Internet fraud. Only shop online at secure websites - ensure the security icon, a locked padlock symbol, is showing in the browser window.

Visa Debit Card

You can use your HSBC Premier Visa Debit Card to pay for goods and services wherever you see the Visa sign. This includes 29 million shops, hotels, restaurants and other outlets in the UK, and across 160 other countries. You can also withdraw up to £1,000 a day from over a million cash machines worldwide that display the Visa logo

And what's more, overseas cash machine withdrawals made with your HSBC Premier Visa Debit Card do not incur ATM transaction fees from HSBC. Please note, a foreign transaction charge of 2.75% will still apply to any transaction you make abroad. Find out more about our Visa Debit Card .

Please note, the exchange rate that applies to any foreign currency debit card payments (including cash withdrawals) is the wholesale market rate used by Visa applying on the day the conversion is made plus our foreign exchange charge, which is currently 2.75% of the applicable Visa wholesale rate. We will make the conversion and deduct the payment from your account once we receive details of the payment from Visa, at the latest the next working day. Details of the current wholesale market rates can be obtained by calling us on the usual telephone numbers. Some cash machine operators may apply a direct charge for withdrawals from their cash machines and this will be advised on screen at the time of withdrawal.

Mobile banking

You can receive weekly or monthly mini-statements on the day of your choice, showing your balance and your five most recent transactions. You can also choose to receive text alerts for certain events, such as when your balance falls beneath a specified amount or when a lump sum has been deposited in your account. Existing customers:

Overdrafts:

For HSBC Premier customers, the first £500 of any overdraft is provided interest-free. Overdrawn balances over £500 are charged at a preferential rate of 11.9% EAR variable

Representative example (assumed overdraft £1,200): 0% EAR variable on the first £500 and 11.9% EAR on the rest.

Debit interest is calculated on the cleared debit balance of your account, it accrues during your charging cycle (usually monthly) and is deducted from your account following the end of your charging cycle. Before we deduct any debit interest, we will give you at least 14 days' notice of the amount to be deducted

Extended warranty

Receive up to two years Extended Warranty cover on many pieces of equipment bought with your Premier Credit Card.

You can register up to 3 pieces of equipment per calendar year and cover is available for pieces of equipment which cost between £50 and £2,000, such as LCD and plasma screen televisions, digital cameras, satellite navigation systems, washing machines, iPods & iTouch.

To qualify for the Extended Warranty cover, items must be purchased in full with your HSBC Premier Credit Card and be registered within 90 days of purchase. You can register online or call 0800 169 1074*. We recommend you call before you make a purchase as some items are excluded from this cover.

Cover is provided by Domestic & General Insurance PLC and is only available to residents of the UK, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man. Policy terms and conditions apply.
