Breakdown Assistance

With HSBC Advance, Breakdown Assistance comes as standard

We're looking out for you today, tomorrow and beyond, which is why you enjoy the benefit of Enhanced Roadside Breakdown Assistance as standard with your HSBC Advance account.

If your vehicle lets you down, we can help you get back on the road. There's no need to register as cover commences 3 days from the date you open your HSBC Advance account.

HSBC Advance Enhanced Roadside Breakdown Assistance is administered by Allianz Global Assistance,
a trading name of Mondial Assistance (UK) Limited.

What's covered?

Standard policy features Enhanced Roadside Breakdown Assistance
Emergency roadside assistance For accounts opened from 1 October 2012, Home Start comes as standard which covers breakdowns that occur at your home address or on the road within the UK, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man.

For accounts opened before 1 October 2012 and remain unconverted, breakdowns within 1/4 mile from your home are not covered. If you are interested in Home Start, please call us on 08457 404 404* to discuss your options.

Cover is personal to the account holder so even if you don't drive, you are covered as a passenger in an eligible vehicle. Please remember that the account holder must be with the vehicle when the incident occurred, when the call is placed and when assistance arrives otherwise assistance may not be provided.
Recovery If the problem is too big to fix at the roadside your vehicle will be taken to a local repairer.
Taxi fare You can get a taxi up to ten miles for up to seven passengers if the vehicle is taken to a local repairer and you have to get somewhere.
National recovery If your vehicle cannot be fixed at the roadside or if a prompt local repair cannot be arranged, your vehicle can be taken to a UK destination of your choice.
Call outs Up to 5 call outs per year are covered.
*Lines are open 24 hours a day.
