What's covered?

Standard policy features Advance Roadside Breakdown Assistance
Breakdown cover The policy only covers breakdowns that occur more than 1/4 mile from your home in the UK, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man. Cover is personal to the account holder so even if you don’t drive, you are covered as a passenger in an eligible vehicle. Please remember that the account holder must be with the vehicle when the incident occurred, when the call is placed and when assistance arrives otherwise assistance may not be provided.
Emergency roadside repairs You can get assistance at the roadside for breakdowns more than 1/4 mile from your home address.
Recovery If the problem is too big to fix at the roadside your vehicle will be taken to a local repairer.
Taxi fare You can get a taxi up to ten miles for up to seven passengers if the vehicle is taken to a local repairer and you have to get somewhere.
National recovery If a prompt local repair cannot be made the vehicle can be taken to a national destination of your choice.
Callouts The policy only covers up to five call-outs per year.

What's not covered?

  • The cost of labour and/or parts at any garage to which the vehicle is taken.
  • Claims where your vehicle is being used for commercial or business purposes or is a motorcycle.
  • Breakdown less than a quarter mile from your home address.
  • Missing or broken keys. We will try and arrange the services of a locksmith but you will to pay for the work carried out.
  • Replacing tyres or windows.

Contact our callout helpline number for assistance as soon as you can, quoting your policy number if possible. Why not save the helpline number on your mobile so you've got it to hand in an emergency.

What you'll need to hand when you call us out

• The exact location of both you and your vehicle
