Application forms are available in Romanian, Polish, Spanish, French, Mandarin, Arabic and Portugese from any HSBC branch. Or you can apply online and bring one form of identification and one non-UK address verification to your local branch when you arrive in the UK to confirm who you are and where you've come from.
What you should know before you apply
HSBC Passport has an initial fixed term of 12 months and is renewable monthly afterwards. HSBC Passport currently has an £8 per month fee.
To apply for HSBC Passport you must be 16 years or over and live in the UK or have the intention to move to the UK within the next three months.

Here is what you will need
We will need you to bring in one form of identification and one non-UK address verification
Identification
- Valid Passport
- National Identity Card
Non-UK address verification
- Driver's Licence (must include address, signature and photograph)
- Valid National Identity Card
- Bank, building society or credit union statement
- Gas, electricity or home telephone bill
- If you are a international student: From a UK university, college or recognised language school, In English, on headed paper with the school's address, signed and dated, stating the duration of your course and your non-UK address.
Please note: we do not accept online bills or statements. National Identity Card cannot be used to both prove identification and verification of address. Gas, Electricity and Telephone Bills, letters from university, college or language schools and Bank Statements must be dated within the last 4 months at the time that account opening is completed (when you arrive in the UK). We may undertake further checks and request additional information. 'Non-UK' means your home country, the place you are relocating from.
