Financial advice that’s tailored to your needs
Whatever your financial goals or aspirations, we have the expertise to help.
Your Relationship Manager will help you to gather information and assess your personal circumstances and your life goals. You will then be referred to the appropriate Financial Adviser to help you.
Whether that’s an HSBC Financial Planning Manager or Independent Financial Adviser (IFA) who can advise on products from across the market, our experts will be able to help with:
- Reviewing and growing your existing portfolio
- Accumulating funds to plan for a comfortable retirement
- Specialist advice on offshore banking or tax-efficient savings
- Putting in place provisions to pass on your wealth to your loved ones
- Review your individual and your family protection need
Our team of IFAs is one of the largest in the UK, so you’re assured of expert advice.
And as they are independent, they'll carefully select what they feel are the best products available across the market – not just the best from HSBC.

What an adviser needs to know about you
To get the best out of your appointment, think about your current financial position beforehand: make a list of your main assets and liabilities and your income and expenditure. Having this information for your first appointment will make it easier to work out your options and help your adviser ensure that the advice complements your existing provision.
Documents to bring with you
Your financial adviser will need to verify your identity before disclosing data and providing advice, so please bring some form of identification (a photo ID, such as a driving licence or passport) and verification of your address (such as a utility bill dated within the past six months).
Your first appointment
The first appointment will be predominantly a discussion about your current financial situation. Your adviser will listen to what you feel you want to achieve; by getting a good understanding of who you are and where you are now, they will be better placed to help you plan for your future financial goals.
You’ll then discuss and agree your financial priorities and which goals have a higher priority for you.
