InvestDirect is a service that allows you to buy and sell shares, explore the markets and keep ahead with our research tools. To buy and sell shares, all you need is an HSBC Bank Account and to be registered for Internet Banking
With InvestDirect / InvestDirect Plus you can:
- Deal in UK and US equities (InvestDirect Plus), Gilts, most UK ETF's and a selection of HSBC Fund of Funds
- Use interactive tools to help you make a more informed decision
- Borrow against your existing portfolio (InvestDirect Plus)
As with any investment related to stocks and shares, the price of shares and any income from them can go down as well as up. It is possible that the value may fall below the original investment. This may also happen as a result of changes in the rate of exchange where overseas securities are held.
Remember, stock market investments should be viewed as a medium-term to long-term investment (at least five years)
