  • 1 Worldwide Travel Insurance is provided by Aviva Insurance UK Limited.

    You're covered if you are under 70 years of age and have been resident in the UK, the Channel Islands or Isle of Man for at least six months at the time of opening your HSBC account or booking the trip, whichever is later. To be resident, your main home must be in the UK, Channel Islands or the Isle of Man; you are registered with a local doctor; and liable to pay local taxes. Please note, trips must begin and end in your country of residence in order to be covered.
  • 1* Student travel insurance does not include cover for lost or stolen baggage (other than Winter Sports Equipment) or missed departure. To be covered, you must deposit £250 in your HSBC Student Bank Account between 1 August and 31 October in your first year at University.
  • 2 A foreign exchange rate adjustment charge of 2.75% applies to overseas ATM withdrawals.
    There is an ATM transaction fee currently 2% (minimum £1.75 maximum £5.00) for withdrawing cash at cash machines overseas. There is no charge to Premier, Premier Mymoney or HSBC Advance.
