Using your HSBC cards abroad

If you're travelling abroad and plan to use your cards, you can now let us know online.

Simply log in to Personal Internet Banking, choose your account and select 'Going abroad' from the left hand menu. Just tell us where and when you're going and we'll make using your cards easier. We can store up to ten travel plans at any time.

Visa and MasterCard are widely accepted throughout the world, but we recommend you take cash and travellers cheques with you when travelling as well. Order your travel money online and have one less thing to worry about.

If you have a joint account, each party needs to notify us separately via Personal Internet Banking.
