How would you like to apply?

Simply choose the way that suits you best - but first, take a look below at the eligibility requirements and things you should know about your MyMoney account application.

How to apply

  • Complete a downloadable application form (PDF).
  • Read the appropriate notes and complete an R85 form if applicable. This makes sure we'll pay you interest on your MySavings account without deducting tax.
  • Take the application form (and optional R85 form) to your nearest HSBC Bank Branch.
  • You will need to take identification and proof of your address (PDF) if your parent/guardian also banks with HSBC, we just need to take your identification.
  • If you're under the age of 16, then your parent/legal guardian will need to sign the application form too.

To be eligible for Money Market you need to be an existing HSBC current account or savings account holder.
