Back by popular demand: The Bursary. We've given 8 students a £15,000 bursary to help them make their mark on the world

HSBC are experts in banking. Over the years we've come to understand the money worries students face. The HSBC Student Bursary competition gave eight students a great head start as they embarked on a new journey into student life by giving them £15,000 each. The challenge was to create a video to answer this question:

How would £15,000 help you make your mark on the world?

We're happy to announce that the eight 2011 Student Bursary winners are:

  • Natalie Barr
  • Terry Cheung
  • Louis Geary
  • Carey Hassell-Ellis
  • Natalia Lewandowska
  • Jay Nanavati
  • Laura Marie Payling
  • Charlotte Wakefield

I decided to enter the competition as I thought it'd be a fantastic opportunity to delve into a new creative project to begin my university experience. The money has so far helped me so much in my studies, as I have been able to afford not only the costs of living but also prepare myself for life after university. I would definitely recommend to any student given this opportunity to enter the competition as it has really helped me push myself forward as a student and given me a lot of motivation to push for dreams that I thought wouldn't be possible.
