Things to know about Select and Cover
HSBC UK Bank Plc acts as an insurance intermediary for Select and Cover. Motor breakdown insurance is underwritten by RAC. Starter life insurance is underwritten by HSBC Life (UK) Limited. All other Select and Cover options are underwritten by Aviva Insurance Limited.
For Mobile Phone, Gadget and some Worldwide Travel Insurance claims, you'll need to pay an insurance excess. If you include the Excess Protection option, you can get this refunded.
It's a good idea to compare your existing insurance policies against the Select and Cover options you’re considering. This will help you compare the costs and see if a multi-cover insurance policy could suit you.
Other eligibility for Worldwide Travel Insurance and Starter Life Insurance:
for Worldwide Travel Insurance, you need to be aged between 18 and 70. Your partner is covered if they're aged between 18 and 70
for Starter Life, you need to be aged between 18 and 50. Your partner is covered if they're aged between 18 and 50
your children are covered if they're under 18 years (or under 23 if in full time education and living at home outside of term time)
both your partner and your children will only be eligible for cover if you remain eligible
for Worldwide Travel, everyone insured must be a UK resident and registered with a local doctor
