International credit card usage

You can use your HSBC credit card in all countries and regions supported by the Visa and Mastercard networks. Fees apply[@premier-cc-use-card-outside-UK-fees], and non-HSBC cash machines may also charge an additional fee.

Purchase protection

Additional information

Balances can’t be transferred from all cards. For example, cards issued by members of the HSBC Group, including HSBC UK, first direct and M&S Bank, are excluded.

You must not have opened a new HSBC credit card or received a credit limit increase within the past 6 months, and you must not be applying for a credit card that you already hold.

Please note, if you currently hold an HSBC Student Credit Card, HSBC Premier Credit Card or HSBC Premier World Elite Credit Card with us, you will not be eligible for this card.

You won't be able to apply for a credit limit increase for the first 6 months after your card is opened.
