Eligibility requirements

HSBC Premier is available without a monthly account fee if you meet any of the following criteria:

  • You have savings or investments of at least £50,000 with HSBC in the UK. We request that your main income is paid into your HSBC Premier Bank Account;
  • You have an individual annual income of at least £100,000 paid into your HSBC Premier Bank Account and either:
    1. a mortgage(s) of at least £300,000 with HSBC in the UK
    2. a product taken out through our independent financial advisory service, excluding mortgage-related insurance;
  • You qualify for HSBC Premier in another country.

Things you should know

HSBC Premier is subject to status. We reserve the right to introduce a monthly fee for the HSBC Premier service should you no longer meet the eligibility criteria. Eligibility will be reviewed on a monthly basis. The present fee should you no longer meet the eligibility criteria is £25 per month.
All account opening and credit is subject to status. All applicants are required to provide a passport or national ID card and proof of permanent residential address.

Please note, travel Insurance is only available if your main home is in the UK, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man, you are registered with a local doctor and liable to pay local tax and you have been resident there for at least 6 months.
