International Bank Account

Open a bank account abroad before you move

Whether you’re emigrating, retiring, studying or working outside the UK, we’re here to help.

You might also need an international account to help with your banking outside the UK.

If you’re applying for an international account you need to have a Premier or Jade current account1 with HSBC UK already (eligibility criteria applies). Any international account is subject to the terms and conditions which apply to the account locally in that country or region.

Benefits:

  • Free international account opening set up in advance

If you are moving abroad you can open your new account, in selected countries or regions, before you leave so it’s set up when you arrive.

  • Free review

We will review your international needs to ensure your banking needs are covered.

Subject to qualifications, status and local country or region laws and regulations
