Join us on the journey to a global net zero economy
Our planet needs drastic action. We need to protect our communities, businesses and the natural environment from the damaging effects of climate change.
By working together to support sustainable projects and initiatives, we can make real progress in the move to a global net zero economy. Here’s what we’re doing and how you can join us.
We're supporting projects that seek solutions to the climate crisis.
Together with the National Trust, we're planting 2 million trees over the next 4 years. This is part of an ambitious plan to increase access to nature, attract more wildlife and protect landscapes prone to flooding.
We've partnered with the National Trust for Scotland on the Threave Landscape Restoration Project. It'll transform 81 hectares of land into rich habitats for flora and fauna and create new carbon stores.
Our partnership with Imperial College London and the University of Birmingham is helping 150 UK businesses to develop services or technologies with potential for impact on climate change.

We’re transforming our operations and supply chain to be net zero by 2030. But we also believe we can make the most significant impact by working with you to lower carbon emissions together.
We're determined to have more sustainable banking services. But we know we're just at the start of the journey. Here are some of the first products and initiatives we've come up with as part of our commitment to sustainability. We'll update this page as we develop more.

All our debit and credit cards are made with 85% recycled plastic, reducing CO2 emissions by 67 tonnes a year and saving 30 tonnes of plastic waste a year.
