Documents we'll need to see

Critical Illness and Income Protection Cover

For Critical Illness Cover, Income Protection, or terminal illness claims, we need medical information to confirm that your illness is covered under your policy.

If you can provide copies of letters from your doctor or the hospital relating to your diagnosis, it could speed up the claim process.

Alternatively, we can contact your doctor directly for the information we need.

Life Cover

For Life Cover claims, we need the original death certificate and legal documents, including probate or letters of administration. You can take these documents into a local HSBC branch, who can send them on to us.
