HSBC Online Banking activation

We're currently making improvements to our Online Banking service.

If you registered for Online Banking prior to the 17th December 2014 it's not possible for you to activate your existing Secure Key and you will need to re-start your registration.

If you registered for Online Banking after this date, please log on to Online Banking entering your username, memorable answer and your password, from here you will be prompted to activate your Secure Key.

We apologise for any inconvenience which this delay may cause. Once you are registered, we look forward to introducing you to Online Banking, including the exciting enhancements we're working on now.

Order in branch

To make your life easier, most of our branches have packs of euros and dollars ready and waiting (subject to stock levels). Alternatively, save time, order online and collect at your local branch the next day.

Important notes
  • A £3.95 delivery charge applies to all online orders under £250
  • Some less common currencies may take longer than 24 hours to deliver in which case we'll inform you when you place your order
  • Delivery to certain remote parts of the UK may take up to 3 working days
  • You must pay using your UK issued first direct, HSBC or M&S Bank debit or credit card. You may be charged a cash advance fee. This will depend on the card's terms and conditions and you should refer to them for details
  • You can place orders 24/7 online (subject to scheduled maintenance periods) but you can only arrange to have your currency delivered Monday to Friday excluding public holidays
  • Travel money is provided in association with Travelex Currency Services Ltd
  • This service is only available to residents of the UK and Channel Islands
