What types of home insurance cover are available?

  • Buildings only Our standard cover protects your home and includes limited accidental damage to cables, fixed glass and bathroom fixtures.
  • Contents only Our standard cover protects your belongings and includes limited accidental damage to TVs, home computers (excluding laptops) and mirrors.
  • Buildings and contents Get peace of mind by combining all the benefits of buildings cover with all the benefits of contents cover.

Unlimited buildings sum insured

We'll cover whatever it costs to repair your home after loss or damage, subject to policy terms and conditions. Causes include: fire, explosions, storms, vandalism, vehicles, water escaping from pipes, theft and falling trees. See our policy documents for more details.


Up to £50,000 contents cover

Our standard cover provides up to £50,000 cover for loss or damage to your belongings, or up to £80,000 on request. Causes include: fire, explosions, smoke, heating fuel leaks and falling aerials. We can also cover your contents while temporarily removed from the home, including up to £5,000 for a member of your household who is away working or studying. New for old

When replacing an item you claim for, we will do so on a like for like basis or replace with the nearest equivalent available in the current market. Please note, to reflect wear and tear, we will reduce the amount we pay for clothes or household linen
(e.g. bedding).

• putting your foot through the ceiling
• hammering a nail through a pipe
• damaging wood or tiled flooring
Extra Accidental Damage - Contents Extra cover includes:
• ornaments
• spectacles
• spilt drinks
Personal belongings Protect your personal belongings, wherever you are in the world
Pedal cycles Up to £2,500 towards loss or damage
