Eligibility requirements

Please ensure you can answer YES to the following questions about the home you wish to insure:

  • Is it located in Great Britain, Northern Ireland, Isle of Man or Channel Islands?
  • Is it in a good state of repair?
  • Has never suffered from flooding?
  • Has not suffered from subsidence, heave or landslip?
  • Is it not used for any business purposes?
  • Is it not a listed building?
  • Is it not used as a weekend or holiday home?
  • Does it not have more than 5 bedrooms and the total value of your contents does not exceed £50,000?

Please ensure you can answer YES to the following questions about yourself or anyone else to be insured:

  • Do you not possess any one valuable that exceeds £1,500 in value and you do not have more than a total of £6,000 of valuables kept in the home?
  • Have you never had any criminal convictions, police cautions or have any prosecutions pending?
  • Have you never had home insurance refused, cancelled or offers made with terms imposed?
  • Are you not involved in one of the following occupations; circus/fairground worker, dealer/trader, gambling related occupation, professional sportsman or woman, TV/radio/films/pop music/entertainment/model, childminder or are not a student?
