What's Targeted Support?
Thinking about investing and want to explore ways to make your money work harder? Our Targeted Support service can help you take the first step – available only in the latest version of our app.
Just answer a short series of questions to get a free, practical investment recommendation based on people like you. Investment fees and charges only apply if you decide to invest. Find out more about fees.
Remember, investments can go down as well as up, so you might get back less than you invest.
Targeted Support isn't personal financial advice
If you have more complex financial needs, you could consider financial advice, where you pay a qualified adviser to review your individual circumstances.
You can get financial advice with HSBC if you've got £100,000 or more in savings and investments.
Why invest with Targeted Support?
Who can invest with Targeted Support?
You'll need the latest version of the app.
If you'd like to invest after using Targeted Support, you'll need to make sure:
- You're between 18 and 74 years old
- You have an HSBC current account or savings account (excluding the Online Bonus Saver, Fixed Rate Saver and any HSBC Cash ISA)
- You're a UK tax resident with a permanent UK residential address
- You aren't a US national/citizen/resident (eg a US passport or green card holder)
- You have at least £50 to invest
- You’re ready to invest, based on the Targeted Support checks
You should aim to invest for at least 5 years, but your money isn't locked away – you can sell your investments, and the money will usually be in your account within 4 business days.
Before you invest, you should build up 3-6 months of living costs to fall back on, so that you're less likely to dip into your investment to cover for anything unexpected.
For full eligibility, read the terms and conditions.
