I've entered an incorrect PIN too many times in a shop

If you have locked your PIN in a shop by entering it incorrectly 3 times in a row, you will need to find an ATM to 'unlock' your card. If you can't remember your PIN, please see the guidance above for forgotten PINs first.

Otherwise locate an ATM, insert your card and enter the correct PIN. You will then need to go into 'PIN services' and 'Unlock' the card. If you do not unlock the card, transactions may still fail.

Please note: not all ATMs will offer this service, so where possible try to locate a HSBC ATM.
