When is Visa Offers for HSBC closing down?
Following a recent review of our products and services, the Visa Offers for HSBC programme will end on 7 August 2020. You can continue to use the service to view and redeem offers as you normally would, and any offers on qualifying purchases redeemed on or before 6 August 2020 will still earn cashback.
Is the service being replaced or what alternatives are available?
Currently, there are no plans to introduce a replacement service but, in future, HSBC may run other promotional offers which you’ll be able to benefit from should you qualify.
What will happen to my cashback that’s still owed after the service closes?
Although access to Visa Offers for HSBC will end on 7 August 2020, Visa’s system will still process and reward cashback for offers on qualifying purchases, redeemed on or before 6 August 2020, even if they are still pending on that date. Additionally, we’ll continue to provide customer support and answer any queries you might have about the service until 7 October 2020.
What will happen to my personal data?
Visa will continue to hold personal data for up to 90 days to ensure we can answer any customer queries relating to their qualifying purchases and cashback. In line with their Privacy Notice (section 7), once that period has ended, they’ll delete all personal data used to run the programme.
What happens if I have a query after 6 August 2020 on any cashback I received, or am waiting to receive, from before this date?
You can continue to contact Visa via https://hsbcuk.visaoffers.eu until 7 October 2020. After that date, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
If you do have any cashback queries, firstly, double-check that your purchase met the terms of the offer provided in the offer details, such as:
minimum purchase amount
number of transactions permitted
offer validity dates
correct store location
bought online or in store
correct card used
If your purchase met all the terms above, please confirm by emailing email@example.com and we will investigate further. When you get in touch with us, please provide the following information from your receipt:
date of transaction
last 4 digits of the HSBC Visa card used.
For security reasons, please do not include your full card number or account details.
