Branch banking

Do your banking in person

If you want to visit one of our branches, you can find the nearest one to you and check the opening times.

Our branch finder also shows what you'll find there, for example 24-hour ATMs or disabled access.

See how we can help you:

Coronavirus safety

Most of our branches are still open, but with reduced hours and services. Please use the branch finder to check times before you set off. Social distancing means wait times might be longer during busy periods. To do your everyday banking safely from home, take a look at our online and mobile banking.

Help keep yourself and others safe by wearing a face covering at all times when visiting a branch. This is compulsory unless you’re under the age of 11, or have a medical condition which provides exemption. Our service to you, your wellbeing and the safety of our team is our top priority.

Our contact centre is open 08:00 to 20:00, and you can report lost or stolen cards 24/7.

Assisted Digital

Let us show you how to use online and mobile banking, with our award-winning digital banking support service1.

A colleague will sit at your side and show you how to access your account 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. So you can do your everyday banking when and where it suits you.

Paying in cheques

If you have cheques to pay into your account, you don’t need to visit a branch – you can do it easily with the HSBC UK Mobile Banking app. You can deposit up to £500 per cheque with a daily limit of up to £750.

Get the app
if you don’t already have it.

You can also deposit cheques using a pre-printed HSBC credit slip at the Post Office®. This will take an extra day to reach your account, if paid in before the Post Office® branch cut-off time. You’ll also need to use an HSBC Post Office® cheque deposit envelope. Please ask your Post Office® for details.

In certain circumstances, subject to status, we may offer a cheque encashment service at Post Office® branches to customers who can’t use a Chip and PIN card. Please contact us for details.

Paying in cash

To do this, you’ll need to come into a branch and fill in a paying-in slip. Ask one of our branch colleagues if you need help.

Only the account holder or signatories can make cash deposits.

Cash withdrawals will be deducted from your daily withdrawal limit.

ATMs

Day or night, you can use our cash machines to withdraw money, check your balance and more:

  • Cash withdrawals

  • Print mini statements

  • Charity donations

  • Money transfers

  • Credit card payments

  • View and print transactions
